that friend that you can spend hours doing absolutely nothing with and still enjoy every minute…

that friend that you can’t imagine life without…

that friend is a treasure. a gift from god.

last weekend my treasure had her first baby shower in nashville and, courtesy of mel and steven, i was able to surprise maris and fly in for the weekend! they are just simply the best… and maris was so surprised! it was a great weekend full of hanging out, shopping, good food… and dessert at maris’ favorite new bakery. yummy yummy.

it was such a blessing to be there for my best friend’s first baby shower. we have walked through so many stages of life together and i am thrilled for her and steven as this new chapter begins. baby august is already so loved and celebrated, i cannot wait until he (or she?!?) makes it into their arms!
